Continuing the A-Z of country towns with an attendant haiku – today, it’s the letter F.
Forster
Forster and its twin town, Tuncurry sit on either side of where Wallis Lake enters the sea. The towns are located on the mid north coast of New South Wales. Apart from all of the other attractions, the fish and chips are great.

Fingal
Fingal is on the Esk Highway which basically marks out the north-east corner of Tasmania. Fingal’s main wealth comes from coal mining, but I make sure to buy fresh cherries here, when I can, during the Summer. I wrote two poems for Fingal, couldn’t decide which to use, so have included both. You can let me know which is your preference.
