E is for Edenhope, Victoria and Eungella, Queensland

Edenhope
Edenhope is a town in the West Wimmera region of Victoria, just 30 kms from the South Australian border. It was here that Australia’s first international touring cricket team of 1868 was born. It was a team of Indigenous players who had been taught and had trained on the shores of Lake Wallace at Edenhope. Today, Edenhope boasts any number of recreational activities.

Eungella
A township right on the edge of the National Park of the same name, Eungella, (pronounced young’ala) is the stepping off point for discovering a range of interesting fauna and flora, a photographer’s delight. Unlike the other towns I have included in the A-Z so far, I have not yet been to Eungella, but it is on my bucket list!
