C is for Clermont, Queensland and Cowra, New South Wales

from iphone 239Clermont is  a small town in Central Queensland about 320 kms west of Rockhampton and 270 kms south-west of Mackay. It was where my parents were living when I was born. http://www.queenslandplaces.com.au/clermont-and-copperfield

Cowra is a larger centre in New South Wales about 170 kms north of the nation’s capital of Canberra. It is now a transport hub, but is known for the mass breakout of Japanese and Italian prisoners of war during WWII. The Japanese dead were buried in a specially designated cemetary.
